Beginner Motorcycle Course
The Beginner course at the Harley-Davidson® Riding Academy will teach you everything you need to know to get started as a first-time rider. Before the first day at our dealership's riding school, you can start learning the ropes through an e-course that you can take conveniently at home. This is followed by education from an experienced instructor in the classroom that covers safety, laws and more. Then, you will head out for continued education on a private range to learn the basics of riding from a certified coach.
Intermediate Motorcycle Course
If you have let your motorcycle license lapse or you are a not-yet-licensed first-time motorcyclist, the Intermediate class will help you to get licensed quickly. By completing this two-day class that elevates your riding knowledge and skills, you will receive a waiver that could eliminate the need for an on-the-road test at the DMV. You may simply need to provide the waiver to your local DMV to receive the required motorcycle endorsement and be compliant with licensing laws.
Practice Course
This is a one-day course available at the Harley-Davidson® Riding Academy near St. Petersburg that gives you more time at the riding range. It begins with a pre-ride bike inspection to ensure that your motorcycle is in great shape. Multiple skills and riding tips will be discussed by the coach before you hit the range. Some of the many topics covered in the course include low-speed control, multiple curve maneuvers, cornering, swerving, stopping quickly, limited-space maneuvers and others. Completion of the course results in an MSF Basic Rider Course 2 certification that may qualify you for an insurance discount.
3-Wheeled Course
The 3-Wheeled course at the Harley-Davidson® Riding Academy serving St. Petersburg teaches you everything you need to know to stay safer while traveling on your trike. This entry-level course is taught by certified coaches and is suitable for new riders. It includes both classroom and range training. At the end of the class, you can obtain a 3-wheeler endorsement for your license.
Adventure Touring Motorcycle Course
If you own an Adventure Touring bike, the Adventure Touring course at Harley-Davidson® of Wesley Chapel will help you get the most out of your motorcycle. Adventure Touring models are engineered for both on-road and off-road riding, so they require a combination of skills.
