2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide® near Lutz, FL

2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide®

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide® is a production model engineered with factory-integrated performance components, system-level refinement, and purpose-built design elements. As part of the Custom Vehicle Operations™ series, it reflects a platform-based approach to long-range touring, merging proprietary powertrain technology, electronic rider aids, and functional enhancements developed exclusively for this trim.

Powertrain Integration: Milwaukee-Eight® VVT 121

At the core of the 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide® is the Milwaukee-Eight® VVT 121 engine. Displacing 121 cubic inches, the engine produces 115 horsepower and 139 ft-lb of torque. Variable valve timing adjusts cam timing based on engine speed to optimize airflow and combustion characteristics.

The engine uses liquid-cooled cylinder heads to maintain operational efficiency, especially under sustained loads. Fuel mapping and throttle response are calibrated to support both urban maneuvering and highway roll-on performance. A high-flow exhaust system complements the combustion profile, reducing back pressure and improving output across the rev range.

Suspension and Handling Systems

Chassis compliance and control are managed through high-performance suspension components. The front system consists of 47mm SHOWA® inverted forks designed for both damping performance and front-end stability.

At the rear, asymmetric shocks are installed to provide preload adjustment capabilities. This setup supports rider and passenger loads without requiring manual recalibration between rides.

Wheels are cast aluminum and exclusive to the 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide®. Lightweight materials and optimized geometry reduce unsprung mass and contribute to direct steering feedback. Brembo® braking components are fitted to the front and rear to deliver predictable stopping force and thermal stability under repeated use.

Body Configuration and Ergonomics

Seat height is measured at 26.7 inches in a laden state. The seating position is engineered to promote a neutral spine angle, which contributes to comfort during long-range use. Control placement and rider triangle dimensions are consistent with ergonomic standards for upright touring motorcycles.

The fairing incorporates revised aerodynamic shaping. Developed through wind tunnel testing, the profile is intended to reduce rider fatigue and helmet buffeting at higher speeds. The resulting airflow is managed around the cockpit to stabilize rider input and visual focus.

Exterior Finishes and Model-Specific Paint

Each 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide® trim features a distinct finish specification. Scorched Chrome and Chrome trims are available, paired with model-specific paint schemes such as Raven Fade, Poison Berry, and Blue Streak. The paint process uses multiple layers to generate depth and consistency in color saturation.

Color-matched inserts and trim components are assigned based on the selected scheme. The consistency of finish across body panels, wheels, and engine trim contributes to the visual coherence of the platform. Paint and finish integration are exclusive to CVO™ models and are not replicated in other production lines.

Lighting and Visibility

The lighting system is LED-based and fully integrated into the motorcycle’s design. Turn signals are embedded into the body structure to reduce aerodynamic disruption and surface protrusions. Tail and brake lighting are recessed to maintain a smooth rear profile.

All lighting units meet road visibility standards and are designed for high-contrast function in varying conditions. Handlebar switchgear is backlit and low-profile, providing visibility without excess volume.

Infotainment and Display

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide® is equipped with a 12.3-inch TFT display managed by the Skyline™ operating system. This interface supports mapping, ride mode selection, and system diagnostics through an intuitive control layout. Screen brightness and contrast are designed for legibility in direct sunlight and night conditions.

Skyline™ OS includes Wi-Fi connectivity for real-time updates and system synchronization. Menus are structured for minimal rider distraction, with logical hierarchy and tactile confirmation for commands.

Audio and Acoustic Engineering

The Rockford Fosgate® Stage II audio system is integrated into the fairing and saddlebag speaker lids. The system is calibrated to provide consistent sound delivery at various speeds, with optimized frequency balancing for open-air environments. Amplification and speaker architecture are tuned to retain audio clarity without distortion.

Speaker housing and wiring channels are embedded within the fairing and saddlebags. No external audio components protrude from the body, preserving the aerodynamic and structural integrity of the chassis.

Selectable Ride Modes

Selectable ride modes modify throttle sensitivity, braking response, and traction management. Each mode is pre-configured to address varying road surfaces, rider preferences, and environmental conditions. Mode selection is displayed on the TFT interface and may be adjusted during operation.

Mode presets interact directly with the vehicle's ECU and rider safety systems to maintain consistent performance parameters across the engine and braking platforms.

Rider Safety Enhancements

The rider assistance suite integrates multiple technologies to support control and stability across riding scenarios. Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) prevents wheel lock under hard braking. Electronic Linked Braking (ELB) balances braking effort between front and rear wheels depending on input pressure and speed.

Traction Control System (TCS) limits rear wheel spin during linear acceleration. Drag-Torque Slip Control System (DSCS) mitigates rear wheel slip during deceleration events, particularly following abrupt downshifts. Vehicle Hold Control (VHC) maintains braking pressure at a stop, preventing roll-back on inclines or uneven surfaces.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) provides real-time inflation feedback to the rider, ensuring that tire pressure remains within performance parameters. These alerts are displayed on the TFT screen and designed to prevent long-term tire degradation and performance issues.

Additional cornering-enhanced systems include C-ABS, C-ELB, C-TCS, and C-DSCS. These subsystems adapt braking, traction, and deceleration responses based on lean angle and lateral movement.
