The touring pack also allows for more robust passenger seating with a backrest.
Tri Glide® Ultra vs Freewheeler
Among riders who want a three-wheeled motorcycle but aren’t exactly sure which one out of the gate, this is by far the most popular comparison. The Freewheeler is the best-selling trike in the Harley-Davidson® lineup and the best-selling three-wheeled motorcycle on the market. One reason for that is the price tag. The Freewheeler is significantly cheaper. It’s also a bit lighter and thus somewhat more agile, and perhaps that makes it a better choice for you if you don’t need the touring equipment or the luxury upgrades. It’s worth noting that some enthusiasts purchase the Freewheeler with the goal of eventually customizing it into a touring trike. Harley-Davidson® provides all the gear you need to do that, but consider that the Freewheeler does not come with infotainment and the Tri Glide® Ultra does.

For those who are confident that they want a three-wheeled motorcycle, then the 2022 Harley-Davidson® Tri Glide® Ultra is an amazing option for anyone who plans to ride their trike often and for long periods. It may not be as agile as the Freewheeler, but it’s close and also comes with many touring and luxury enhancements. Another notable difference between the Tri Glide® Ultra and Freewheeler is that the former has the Milwaukee-Eight® 114 whereas the latter has the 107. If the additional power is important to you, you may also want to consider the CVO Tri Glide®, which has the 117.
Design and Other Customization Options
