CVO™ Tri Glide®
The 2022 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Tri Glide® arrives with new a color scheme for 2022: Dante’s Red Fade. The trike has a dark red base adorned with black flames that intensify along the length of the vehicle, and this scheme is paired with the traditional chrome aesthetic. We’ve already mentioned the Kahuna Collection, which is new for this model year, and another update is the new Tomahawk wheels. The 2022 model also features a premium audio system from Rockford Fosgate. The Boom! Box GTS infotainment system has been upgraded to include Android Auto standard along with Apple CarPlay, and all of the advanced rider-assistance technologies are included as standard equipment as well.
CVO™ Tri Glide® vs Freewheeler
There are three core three-wheeled motorcycles offered by Harley-Davidson®. The CVO™ Tri Glide® is intended to be the premium three-wheeled motorcycle experience, and the Freewheeler is at the other end of the spectrum. It is the most affordable and best-selling trike in the H-D® lineup. It has hot-rod appeal but more of a minimalistic loadout. If you want a comparison using traditional motorcycles, the Freewheeler is more of a cruiser whereas the CVO™ Tri Glide® is more of a tourer. The CVO™ Tri Glide® is also more upscale. You could certainly customize the Freewheeler over time to be a touring machine, but note that it does not come with an infotainment system.
CVO™ Tri Glide® vs Tri Glide® Ultra
The Tri Glide® Ultra is positioned between the Freewheeler and CVO™ Tri Glide®. While it does not cost as much, it is more similar to the CVO™ Tri Glide® than the Freewheeler. The Tri Glide® Ultra actually serves as the basis for the CVO™ Tri Glide®, so the trikes share the same fundamentals, such as the windshield, passenger seating, trunk, tour pack and so forth. The Freewheeler has the Milwaukee-Eight® 107 V-Twin engine. The Tri Glide® Ultra upgrades the engine to the 114, and the CVO™ Tri Glide® has the 117, which is currently the most powerful engine that Harley-Davidson® offers on its touring machines. Other reasons to choose the CVO™ over the standard model are the custom design and all the equipment upgrades.
