The Road Glide® is considered by many to be the standard by which all other long-distance touring machines are measured. It’s an iconic motorcycle and among the brand’s best-sellers, and Harley-Davidson® offers it in a number of different variants in order to appeal to various riders.
Road Glide® Limited
One of those variants is the Limited. It is fundamentally the same bike but gives you more design options, including a blacked-out aesthetic as opposed to the traditional chrome aesthetic. Another difference is that the standard model has the Milwaukee-Eight® 107 V-Twin engine whereas the Limited upgrades you to the more powerful Milwaukee-Eight® 114.
CVO™ Road Glide® Limited
That brings us to the 2022 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® Limited. CVO™ models are factory custom editions of Harley-Davidson®’s most popular models. Most of the time, they are based on a standard edition, and there is a CVO™ Road Glide® available as well. But the Road Glide® Limited is so popular in its own right that this is one of the exceptions. The CVO™ is available in three special packages that not only dictate the aesthetic but the standard equipment. The CVO™ also features the Milwaukee-Eight® 117 engine, which is the most powerful engine that H-D® currently offers on its touring motorcycles.
Updates for the 2022 Model Year
The CVO™ Road Glide® Limited replaces the CVO™ Limited, so it is a new model or not depending on your perspective. The designs available are completely different than those available with the CVO™ Limited last year. All Harley-Davidson® touring motorcycles now have Reflex linked Brembo brakes with ABS, and available and standard rider safety enhancements have been reconfigured for the new model year.
This Is the Right Bike For
The Road Glide® in general is a great option for long-distance touring enthusiasts who prefer the frame-mounted fairing. The Road Glide® Limited is an even better option for riders who want an enhanced touring experience, including the touring pack, passenger backrest and more powerful engine, and the 2022 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® Limited is the ultimate option for those who want a custom factory look, the most powerful engine available and a slew of exclusive upgrades.
Design and Customization Options
There are three core design options for the 2022 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® Limited. The standard option is Dante’s Red Fade, and it has a dark red color scheme with black flames and a blacked-out look on most of the metal. The two premium options are Wicked Orange Pearl and Hightail Yellow Pearl. Both of these feature the traditional chrome look with hot rod colors that really pop. Note that the equipment does vary slightly between the three options, so if you’re considering the CVO™ Road Glide® Limited, we recommend coming into our showroom so that you can see them in person.
