Introducing the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® S
Harley-Davidson® introduced the all-new Sport family for the 2022 model year with two options: the Sportster® S and Nightster. It has expanded the family this year with the Nightster Special. The Sportster® S isn’t a traditional Harley-Davidson® motorcycle. It’s a sport bike but designed through the unique Harley-Davidson® lens. It’s also a bike that gets back to the roots of the Sportster®. Rather than remaining true to tradition, this is a bike that’s all about taking advantage of the latest technologies we have available to go fast and deliver precision agility and handling.
What’s New for the Harley-Davidson® Sportster® S in 2023
The color palette is completely new for the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® S in Lutz, and we’ll break those options down for you in the Personalization section. In terms of the chassis, performance, advanced rider aids and infotainment system, the Sportster® S is carried forward largely unchanged.
Performance & Ride Characteristics
The Sportster® S is a sport bike that delivers an aggressive riding experience. It has a low profile and low seating and puts the rider in a forward riding position with forward foot controls. It’s powered by the liquid-cooled Revolution® 1250T powertrain and has a high exhaust mount, and the Revolution® engine is a structural component of the chassis in order to reduce weight and make handling more surprise. Harley-Davidson®’s advanced rider-assistance technologies are all included standard as is an infotainment system, and a ride mode select system lets you shape riding dynamics through three preprogrammed modes—Sport, Road and Rain—or a fourth mode that you program yourself.
Sportster® S vs Other Harley-Davidson® Sport Motorcycles
When you test ride the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® S, you can also test the Nightster® and Nightster® Special. The key difference here is the approach to the redesign. With the Nightster®, the bike remains truer to the classic silhouette and is not quite as powerful as the Sportster® S. The Nightster® Special is a new option for 2023 that adds some of the Sportster® S features like the ride modes.

Personalization Options
A black finish with the Vivid Black paint is standard. Premium options include the returning White Sand Pearl in addition to Gray Haze and Bright Billiard Blue as new choices. Mineral Green Metallic, which was available last model year, has been retired. There is also excellent support for this model in the H-D® catalog, and our team can install those upgrades and accessories for you at the time of purchase or later down the line.
