Introducing the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® 3
The 2023 Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® 3 in Lutz is a three-wheeled motorcycle or trike. It has one front wheel like a traditional motorcycle but two rear wheels for greater stability and convenience. Fully loaded trikes tend to be big and heavy, but what’s notable about the Road Glide® 3 is how easy it is to move. Smaller riders, including women, will have no trouble at all. It also delivers ample acceleration for getting on the highway and passing other vehicles and a smooth powerband throughout.
What’s New for the Road Glide® 3 in 2023
The Road Glide® 3 is a new model. This is the first year it’s been available, and it’s the newest entry into the Harley-Davidson® lineup. Trikes are more popular than ever, and as that customer base has continued to grow, there has been increased demand for an alternative to the Tri Glide® Ultra, which has been around in one form or another since the 2009 model year. In a section ahead, we’ll break down how the Road Glide® 3 differs from the Tri Glide® Ultra and why it may be the better option for you.
Performance & Ride Characteristics
The 2023 Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® 3 in Lutz is powered by the Milwaukee-Eight® 114 engine. This a touring trike that’s neither stripped down nor fully loaded. Characteristics include a frame-mounted fairing, upright rider positioning, floorboards, a passenger seat and a trunk. It also has an infotainment system with a 6.5-inch touch screen, and the advanced RDRS suite is included as standard equipment.
Road Glide® 3 vs Other Harley-Davidson® Trikes
There are two other trikes to consider at Harley-Davidson® of Wesley Chapel — Freewheeler and Tri Glide® Ultra — and you can test those as well when you test ride the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® 3. Think of the Freewheeler as a cruiser whereas the Road Glide® 3 and Tri Glide® Ultra are tourers. The Road Glide® 3 has the shark nose fairing while the Tri Glide® Ultra has the batwing. The Tri Glide® Ultra also comes standard with a touring pack with luggage carrier and passenger backrest, but this can be added to your Road Glide® 3 as a color-matched option.
This Is the Right Bike For
The Road Glide® 3 is a versatile trike that appeals to a wide range of riders. It’s certainly an excellent choice for the long-distance touring enthusiast, but it’s also a fantastic option for the rider who wants to commute, run errands around town or take joy rides through their local twisties.
You have the choice between either a standard chrome finish or a premium black finish. Vivid Black is the standard paint in either case. Premium paints with both finishes include Bright Billiard Blue and Gray Haze. Our dealership also provides you full access to the H-D® catalog and can install those upgrades and accessories for you at purchase or later down the line. Popular options include the touring pack, heated grips and upgraded seating.
